What the CBS Sports app streams

CBS Sports: Watch Live is a streaming app for sports from CBS Interactive. It gathers programming from CBS, CBS Sports Network and Paramount+ in one place, so a viewer who follows more than one network does not have to move between separate apps.

The developer's listing describes it as the way to watch 24/7 sports content from these networks, with live games as the main draw for people who want to catch a particular event as it happens.

Live NFL, Champions League and golf

The app streams live NFL games and UEFA Champions League matches. Golf is covered through the PGA Championship and PGA Tour events, so a fan of either sport can watch tournament play from the same app.

Because these leagues run on different schedules, the app suits someone who wants football in the autumn, European soccer through the week and golf on weekends without switching services.

College football from the SEC and Big Ten

College football is covered through the Southeastern Conference (SEC) and the Big Ten Conference. The listing names both conferences together, so games from either league are part of the app's football lineup.

This makes it relevant to people who follow those conferences' teams through the college season.

Around-the-clock sports channels

Beyond scheduled games, the developer lists 24/7 sports content from CBS and CBS Sports Network. This is programming meant to play continuously, so there is sports on at any hour rather than only when a game is on.

Viewers who like having sports on in the background, or who want analysis and highlights between events, are the audience this part of the app is built around.

Women's soccer and Paramount+ titles

The National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) is among the leagues named in the listing, which adds women's professional soccer to the app's football and golf coverage. Paramount+ is also named as a source of content within the app.

Together these give a single app a range of sports that goes beyond the headline leagues.
