What the game is and who it suits

Charades & Headbands Game is a heads up guessing game for groups, built on the classic charades format. The listing places it in the Board category and rates it for all ages, so it is aimed at family game nights as well as gatherings of friends.

The clues come from the people in the room. They can act, sing, mime or talk, and the guesser works out the word or phrase from whatever they give.

Playing a round with the phone on your forehead

You hold the phone against your forehead so you cannot see the word on it. Your friends give you clues until you name it.

Tilt the phone up when you get it right and down to pass. Everything happens through those two movements, so the phone is the only control you need during a round.

Built-in decks and themes

The app includes more than 60 charades in its ready-made decks. Before a game you choose the deck you want to play, and the words come from that set.

Making your own charades deck

You can create your own deck and fill it with the words you want to play. That lets a group use its own characters, singers or objects instead of the built-in lists.
