Connect IQ™ Store

What the Connect IQ Store is for

Connect IQ™ Store is the storefront where owners of Garmin devices get extra software for them. Garmin publishes the app, and the listing presents it as the place to find apps, widgets, data fields and watch faces in one location.

It suits people who already use a Garmin device and want to add to what it does without leaving the device's ecosystem.

Adding third-party apps to your device

The listing names Uber and SmartThings as examples of the free apps available in the store. Installing an app like these is how a device picks up functions beyond its built-in ones, on the listing's account.

Downloads are handled from the store itself, so you choose what goes onto the device from one catalogue.

Streaming music to a Garmin watch

The store lists music streaming services that you can put directly on your watch. The stated use is listening while away from your phone, which is the situation the listing describes as music on the go.

Music services are added the same way as other store downloads, so they sit alongside your other installed content.

Personalising watch faces, widgets and data fields

Custom watch faces change how the time and information look on the screen. Widgets and data fields are the additional pieces the listing says you can add to personalise the device.

Because these come from the same store, you can swap a face or add a field without a separate tool for each one.

Managing installed downloads in the store

The store also keeps your downloads in one place, so you can see what is on your device and manage it from the app. The listing presents this as a single location for the whole collection, covering apps, widgets, faces and music services.
