Critter Stadium is a duelling game about what you do after you win. Beat another trainer's critter and you get a choice nobody enjoys making: ABSORB it and take its strength for your own, or show MERCY and walk away with the coins.

Absorbing is how you grow. Every critter you eat makes yours bigger, stronger, and closer to becoming something else entirely — two bloodlines fuse into a third, and the thing that stands up afterwards is a critter that did not exist before you made it. There are 138 of them to be found this way. Mercy pays better today and costs you tomorrow.

Lose, and it is over. No revives, no continues. Your critter's record ends, its career winnings are counted, and the next egg is somebody new.
