CSR Racing

What kind of game CSR Racing is

CSR Racing is a drag racing game set on city streets, where each race is a short straight sprint against one opponent. The listing describes it as free to play. It suits people who want quick head-to-head races and a large selection of licensed cars rather than open-world driving.

The car roster covers named manufacturers such as McLaren, Bugatti, Aston Martin, Hennessey and Koenigsegg. Race results are timed to the quarter mile, so the cars you pick and how you set them up both matter.

Working through the World Tour

The World Tour is the main campaign. It is built in tiers, and finishing Tier 5 leads to races against crews from around the world. The listing frames the end goal as reaching The International.

Crew battles and bosses

Each crew is a rival you race to take over the city. Beating a crew's boss is the step that makes you the new king of that area, so progress is tied to a sequence of boss races rather than free choice of events.

Tuning cars for quarter mile times

Upgrades cover the engine, the tires and the car's weight. The listing presents them as a way to cut tenths of a second from a quarter mile run, so tuning is the main way to close the gap with stronger opponents.

Custom paint, number plates and decals are a separate layer. The listing says they also raise race winnings. CSR Racing 2 is a separate app, which the listing promotes as the follow-up to this one.
