Dominoes: Classic Online Game is a digital take on the tile game, published by Appgeneration and listed under Board games. Each tile has pips on two halves, and you join tiles on the table by matching the pip count at an open end. The aim is to play every tile in your hand before your opponents do.
The developer describes it as suited to anyone who likes classic dominoes and wants a game that also works the mind. It is listed for everyone, with online play against other people and an offline option.
Matches can be played online against players from around the world, or with friends online. The listing also says the game can be played offline. The developer credits the graphics, animations and interface as strong points, though those are its own claims.
The listing states that the game is set up so people can challenge others quickly, which suits short sessions as much as longer ones.
The game offers three modes: Draw, Block and All Fives. The player holding the highest double tile starts the first round, and players take turns starting each following round. A round ends when one player has no tiles left or when every player is blocked.
Draw and Block are the familiar forms of the game, and All Fives is included as a third option. The listing does not spell out the scoring rules for each mode beyond the points target.
When you have no tile that fits, you take one from the boneyard, the pile of tiles not yet dealt. Tiles only connect to two other tiles, so the game has no spinner. Each tile is placed at one of the two open ends of the line.
Points accumulate across rounds, and the first player to reach 100 points wins the game.
