A nitro drag racing game built around tuning
Drag Racing is a nitro drag racing game from Supercharge Mobile. It covers straight-line races in cars from three regions: Japanese (JDM), European and American models, more than 50 styles in all. The listing says it has sold over 100,000,000 installs.
Most of the game is about the car itself. You tune it, upgrade it and customize it, and the car list is grouped into 10 levels of cars and race categories, so the same garage works for early and later races.
Tuning power, grip and gear ratios
Tuning means finding a balance between power and grip while staying inside the class your car is entered in. A car with more power can spin its tires, so the setup decides how well it actually launches down the strip.
Nitrous oxide adds a burst of power, but the listing warns that pressing the button too early loses the advantage. Gear ratios are a finer adjustment, and the developer says they can shave off fractions of a second over a run.
Racing offline and against other players online
Single-player racing works without a connection, according to the listing's summary, and it covers the career and tuning side of the game. The online modes are for challenges against other people.
In a 1v1 race you take on one opponent. You can also drive your opponent's car, which the listing presents as a separate mode. Pro League puts up to 10 players on the track at once, in real-time races.
Styling cars with stickers and liveries
Stickers and liveries are the visual layer. The stickers and paint schemes were designed by CIAY Studio and Sumo Fish, and you can collect them as you go.
The customization options can be combined, so a single car can carry several stickers and a custom livery. The developer describes the garage as the place where each car ends up looking different from the others.
