What Draw Anime is for and who it suits

Draw Anime is an AR sketch app built around anime, manga and cartoon art. The developer frames it around fans of those styles and of K-pop, and says it is meant for all ages and skill levels.

The core idea is simple: you pick a template, the phone's camera shows it as an overlay over your paper, and you trace the lines by hand. The listing describes the AR overlay as the part that keeps the image lined up over the drawing surface.

Choosing a template from the anime and manga library

The app offers a library of anime, manga and cartoon images to trace. You select one from the library as your starting point.

The listing presents this as the first step in its workflow, before you position the device or start tracing.

AR tracing with a camera over paper or any surface

You hold the device steadily over your drawing surface, switch on AR tracing mode, and the chosen image is projected onto the paper. You then trace the outlines with a pencil or pen. The listing says any surface can serve as the canvas through the camera.

The developer says the smart AR overlay gives high precision and realistic alignment, and describes the guided tracing as needing no drawing experience. These are the developer's claims, not something this page has checked.

Coloring, brushes and sharing the finished drawing

After tracing, you add colors, brushes and detail to finish the piece in the app. The listing lists these as the final stage of the process.

When the artwork is finished, you can save it and share it with friends. The listing does not describe the sharing destinations beyond that.
