What this keyboard app is for

Emoji Font Keyboard & Themes replaces the default keyboard on an Android phone with one you can restyle. The developer pitches it at people who find the stock keyboard plain and want typing to feel more personal.

It covers three things: the fonts your text is typed in, the emoji keyboards you can use, and the look of the keyboard itself through themes you design.

Changing the fonts you type in

The listing describes an extensive selection of fonts and stylish text options. Typed text can take on these looks, which the developer suggests suits casual messages.

Because the font choice is separate from the keyboard layout, you can change how your messages look without changing how you type them.

Emoji keyboards and emoji fonts

The app includes emoji keyboards, and the listing names a set of emoji keyboard fonts as a separate feature. These let emoji and text share the same playful styling.

The listing presents these as ways to add a playful touch to everyday messages, not as a replacement for the emoji already on your phone.

Designing your own keyboard theme

The app lets you design keyboard themes yourself, which the listing calls DIY themes. The aim, on the developer's account, is a keyboard that matches your own taste.

Themes change how the keyboard looks as you type, so the visual style carries across every app where you use the keyboard.
