Dynamics 365 for Phones is the Android app for Microsoft's Dynamics 365 customer relationship management software. The listing names salespeople, service agents and supervisors as its users, and it is meant for people whose work involves visiting customers or handling cases away from a desk.
Its main job is to put customer data on the phone. Sales and service records are kept in the same system the rest of the team uses, so the app is a way into that shared data rather than a separate notes tool.
Before an appointment, a user can open the related sales and service records for the customer. The listing presents this as arriving prepared, with the history in front of you.
After a visit or call, the same records take notes, tasks and attachments. The listing stresses doing this while the details are still fresh, so the update happens on the phone rather than later at a computer.
The app lets users change records and the status of a case or deal both online and offline. The listing does not describe how changes are synced once a connection returns, so read it as the app supporting edits without a connection, not as a sync method.
