What the figures are and who uses them

Easy Pose is a posing tool for people who draw. It gives you human figures you can move into a pose, so you do not need a wooden artist's mannequin or a reference photo. The listing names animation, illustration and sketching as the main uses, and also mentions checking yoga or exercise poses from several angles.

The figures come in a range of body types. The listing contrasts them with the realistic eight-head proportions it says are common in other pose apps, which it describes as a poor fit for animation, webtoon and game art.

Posing joints and mirroring a pose

Each main joint can be moved directly. The listing describes highlighting movable parts, resetting joints to their starting state, and mirroring a pose so one side matches the other. Hands can be adjusted on their own.

The developer says joint control is easier to use than a mouse. That is a claim from the listing, not something this page has tested.

Building scenes with several figures

A scene can hold up to six people at once. The listing's examples are a footballer dodging a tackle and a couple dancing with joined hands. Figures cast shadows onto one another within the scene.

Camera controls set the view. You can change the camera distance and the angle of view, including exaggerated perspective such as a panorama-style vanishing point. Light can be set as direct or backlight, and changing the light angle changes the mood.

Premade poses, saving and the paid upgrade

The library has about 60 premade poses, which the listing says will be updated regularly. Common poses can start from these rather than being built from scratch. Work saves automatically, which the listing says protects it if the device has a fault.

The paid upgrade adds saving and recalling completed poses, and a woman (normal), a woman (small) and a man (small) alongside the original model. It also brings several models onto the screen at once, removes ads and makes all completed poses usable. Purchases do not carry over to the iOS version.

Exporting images and tracing over figures

Images save as PNG, and the listing says figures can be exported with a clear background for use in another drawing program. Wire mode draws only lines over the models, which suits tracing. The free version includes free control of poses, light and camera distance, plus PNG saving.
