Endless Alphabet is an education app from Originator Inc. for young children who are learning the alphabet and building vocabulary. Its characters are monsters, and the listing rates it PEGI 3.
The app is built around single words rather than lessons. Each word on its list is its own activity, so a child works through the set one word at a time.
Each word is an interactive puzzle made of letters that talk. The developer says the word game is how children learn their letters, and the puzzle is where a child handles and arranges them.
Because the letters speak, a child hears each one as they play, not only sees it on the screen.
After or alongside the puzzle, each word has a short animation that illustrates its definition. The listing uses this to teach meaning, so a child sees what a word stands for and not just how it is spelled.
The listing gives longer, less common words as examples of what children can pick up, including the ability to use them in conversation.
The app includes seven word puzzles and animations at no cost. The rest of the 100 words are unlocked by a one-time in-app purchase.
Once purchased, the unlock covers the remaining words in the app. Nothing in the listing describes a subscription.
The listing says the app has no high scores, failures, limits or stress. The developer built it so that a child can use it at their own pace.
There is no timer or score to beat, so a child can repeat a word or leave it for later without a penalty.
