Five Hearts Under One Roof 2

A filmed simulation set in a boarding house

Five Hearts Under One Roof 2 is the second season of an FMV interactive simulation game, so the story is told through live-action footage rather than drawn art. You play Yuman, the landlord of a boarding house, and the job is mostly about keeping the place running and the residents on side.

Season 2 brings back Mal-sook, Gran and Min-jung from the first season and adds three new tenants. According to the developer, the original production team returned for this season, with enhanced performances and direction, in a collaboration with Milk Film from 3Y Corporation.

The developer names the audience as players who enjoy story-driven, choice-based games, interactive FMV and visual novels, and who want a cinematic feel with interactive play.

How choices shape the route and the ending

Your decisions drive how the story progresses and what happens. Season 2 adds more branching paths, several endings and hidden scenes, so one playthrough does not show the whole story.

The endings vary based on the choices you make. The listing frames the closing question as who will remain by Yuman's side, which points to the residents you have built relationships with as the deciding factor.

The developer also describes deepening lore and unexpected twists across the season.

The six residents and their storylines

Mal-sook Go is the first tenant and Yuman's childhood friend of twenty years. She has a secret she has not told him. Gran Dong is the second tenant and Yuman's workplace supervisor, who asks him to use his name rather than 'Manager' away from work.

Yu-na Jeong, the third tenant, is a wealthy heiress who has come to take responsibility for Yuman. Min-jung Park, the fourth tenant, is his first love. Yu-jeong Yang, the last tenant, is described as a quiet wallflower. Gyu-ri Bang is a sweet nurse, listed as a soon-to-be tenant.

Each character has their own background, emotions and narrative. The developer says their stories intertwine and change over time, and that your choices shape how they all turn out.

Winter Trip add-on and the item system

Winter Trip is a DLC update with three new chapters set in a new location. In it, Yuman leaves the boarding house for a while and runs into a series of unexpected events. He meets Nurse Gyu-ri, Doctor Suzy and Yu-jeong, a part-time worker who has a busy life.

The listing says Winter Trip can be played alongside the main game or purchased separately, so it is a separate paid addition rather than something included with the base game.

The newly introduced item system lets you influence key moments and find additional story content. The listing does not explain how items are obtained, so this is what it states and nothing more.
