Front Row AI is a fashion event app from THG (The Hut Group) that uses the phone camera during live catwalk shows. It is built for people watching a runway event in person who want to know what the models are wearing and buy it.

Its main pieces are product recognition during the show, a selfie-based try-on, a search tool that runs on the device, a saved-items area and a map of the venue.

Identifying products on models during a show

Point the camera at the runway and the app's on-device AI recognises products as models walk past. It shows prices and details for each item in real time.

Moments can be captured and shared from the same view, so a look seen on the catwalk can be kept or sent to someone else without leaving the show.

Virtual try-on with a selfie

To try an item on, the user takes a quick selfie. The AI then generates try-on images of that person wearing the chosen product, which the listing says are meant to look realistic.

The feature is described as a way to see an item on yourself before buying it, so the try-on is tied to the product page rather than to the show.

Searching in plain language and building saved looks

Smart search takes a request written in ordinary words, such as asking which outfit a model in a described colour was wearing. It returns personalised recommendations, and the search runs on the device so it still works offline.

Items can go into a wishlist and be arranged into custom outfit boards. When the user is ready to buy, checkout happens directly on Topshop.

Venue map and live trending data
