Gallery - Photo Gallery App

A phone gallery with a locked vault built in

Gallery - Photo Gallery App is a photo viewer with a private vault attached. Its everyday job is opening, sorting and tidying the pictures and clips already on the phone. A lock sits alongside that and keeps chosen files out of sight. The developer, InShot Inc., lists it under Photography.

It suits someone with a crowded camera roll who also wants certain photos kept from anyone else who picks up the phone. The listing pitches it for shared devices, where one person wants to hand over a phone without handing over every picture on it.

Hiding and locking private photos and videos

Password-protected folders can be opened with a PIN, a pattern or a fingerprint. Photos, videos and GIFs placed in one of these folders are hidden. The listing uses the terms photo hide and gallery lock for this part of the app.

The listing also describes protecting whole photo albums, not only single pictures. That matters if a set of images is kept together and should stay locked as a group.

Finding, sorting and playing back your library

The library can be sorted by name, date, size and other fields, and by more than one type at once. A large set of albums is easier to work through when you can order it by whatever you remember about a picture.

Search works across photos, pictures and videos. Favorites collect the shots you return to most, and albums you use often can be pinned to the top of the list.

A slideshow plays photos back in sequence, and the interval between pictures is adjustable.

Editing photos and videos on the device

The photo editor covers cropping, rotating, adjusting and resizing, and the listing says you can zoom in on HD images. Filters, text and freehand drawing can be added on top of a picture. Collages combine several pictures into a single image.

AI blur is the one effect the listing names specifically. Video editing is limited to cropping and compressing clips.

Clearing space and restoring deleted files

The deep clean tool identifies similar photos, screenshots and large videos, which the listing presents as a way to free up storage. It is aimed at libraries where old duplicates and oversized clips take up most of the space.

Deleted photos and videos go to a recycle bin, and they can be restored from there.

Story albums and the formats it opens

Story albums use AI to group photos by theme, such as travel, family or friends. Each group becomes a story video that can be shared. The listing describes these videos as ready to share and relive.

On formats, the listing names JPEG, GIF, PNG, SVG, panorama images, MP4, MKV and RAW files. It also says the app supports tablets. The listing calls it fully private and says it needs no internet access.
