This page needs its stylesheet to be shown
The app listing, the version table and the download step are laid out by this site’s stylesheet. With stylesheets switched off, or blocked before they arrive, none of that layout exists, so the page is not shown.
Allow CSS for this site — including in any content blocker or privacy extension that may be stopping it — then reload the page.

Google Authenticator is a phone app that produces the second code some online accounts ask for at sign-in. The password is the first step and the code shown in the app is the second. The developer presents it as an extra layer of protection for accounts, so it suits anyone using two-step verification on services that support it.
At sign-in you enter your password, then the code the app shows. The codes are generated on the phone, and the listing says they work without a network or cellular connection. Accounts are added by scanning a QR code, which the listing says also helps make sure the codes are set up correctly.
One app holds the codes for multiple accounts, so you do not need to switch apps to find the one you need. Each account can use time-based or counter-based generation, and the listing says you choose the type that fits the service. Counter-based codes change with each use rather than with the clock.
Codes can be synced to your Google Account and reached from your other devices. The listing presents this as a way to keep access to your accounts if you lose your phone. Using the app with Google requires 2-Step Verification to be enabled on the Google account. Accounts can also be moved to a new device by transferring them with a QR code.
The build we hold is Google Authenticator 7.2 (APKS split bundle) for Android 10 and up.
