Grab is Southeast Asia’s Superapp!
By Irfan Rosli
News editor
Grab is a single app for getting around a city and getting things delivered to you. Its main parts are ride hailing, food and grocery delivery, courier services and a payment wallet. The listing presents these as one account and one place to see your bookings and orders.
It suits people who regularly book rides, order meals or groceries, and send or receive items, and who want those handled in one app rather than several. The ride, delivery and payment features are linked, so a payment made for a meal or a taxi can come from the same GrabPay balance.
The build we hold is Grab - Taxi & Food Delivery 5.430.0 (APKS split bundle) for Android 7.0 and up.

Standard taxi bookings run under the JustGrab and GrabTaxi names, and the listing says fares are quoted upfront as fixed rates. Rides can be booked in advance. GrabHitch covers carpooling, with advance bookings and cashless payment. GrabExec offers limousine rides.
For self-driven or specialist trips, GrabCar, GrabCar Plus and GrabCar Premium provide hired cars at different levels. GrabCar for Cyclists takes bicycle racks, GrabPet takes pets, GrabFamily provides booster seats for children and GrabCoach provides minibuses for larger groups. GrabAssist connects riders who need more accessible transport with taxi drivers from the Agency for Integrated Care. The app also has a built-in translation feature for messages with drivers.
GrabFood delivers meals from restaurants and marts to your address. GrabMart is for groceries, healthcare and beauty products and gifts, and the listing says these deliveries arrive within 30 minutes. Dine Out lets you reserve a table at participating restaurants and find deals when you book.
GrabExpress sends parcels by courier, and the listing describes these couriers as insured. The same ordering flow covers food, shopping and courier jobs, so you use one app for each.
GrabPay is the cashless wallet used for rides, deliveries and groceries. The app keeps a transaction history you can view in-app. A pre-paid GrabPay Card can be used at physical and online shops, and PayLater lets you pay for delivery orders and online shopping in a single payment at the end of the month.
GrabInsure sells travel and other insurance plans through the app. GrabGift issues digital gift cards that can be spent on taxi rides, food or groceries. Orders earn GrabRewards points, which can be redeemed for deals.
