Hello Neighbor Nicky's Diaries

What the game is about

Hello Neighbor Nicky's Diaries is a mobile Action game in the Hello Neighbor series, published by tinyBuild. You play Nicky, who is trying to find out what Mr. Peterson, the neighbor, is hiding. The story is built on the rumour that he keeps kidnapped children in his basement.

The listing rates the game Everyone 10+. It suits players who want puzzle-driven stealth in a house they have to investigate piece by piece.

Sneaking past cameras and motion sensors

Much of the game is about getting through rooms without being seen. The listing names CCTV cameras to avoid and motion detectors placed around the doors, both of which you have to disable or get around.

Solving the puzzles means using objects scattered through the environment. The listing describes this as improvising, so the same room can be handled in more than one way.

Gadgets for reaching, seeing and disabling

Jump boots let you reach higher spots. X-ray glasses are used to find the Neighbor so you can slip past him. EMP devices switch off traps, and jugs of glue can be thrown.

The listing presents these as tools to combine rather than one-off items, which suggests a single room may need more than one of them.

Exploring the basement

The basement is set apart from the rest of the house as a separate area. The listing says there is more down there than first appears, and it is the part of the game the story leads toward.
