HeyMelody is a companion app for OPPO and OnePlus earbuds. Once the earbuds are connected to a phone, the app gives you a single place to check and change how they work.
It is aimed at people who own those earbuds and want to see battery status, adjust sound, set up gestures and keep the earbud firmware current.
After connecting, the app shows the battery level of the left and right earbuds and of the charging case, updated in real time.
Because each earbud is reported separately, you can see if one is running lower than the other before you put them in.
The app includes sound effect adjustment for the earbuds. The listing does not break these effects down further, so the exact options are only visible inside the app.
Gesture customization lets you change what actions the earbud controls trigger, so the touch or gesture input matches how you use them.
HeyMelody handles firmware OTA updates, which means the earbud software can be updated wirelessly through the app rather than through a cable or a separate tool.
Keeping firmware current is the main reason the app stays installed on the phone once setup is done.
