I Am Monkey is a simulation game in which you are a monkey kept in a zoo enclosure. The developer describes it as an adaptation of an earlier VR experience, and the cage is the whole setting. Visitors come and go, and each one brings a different temperament.
Players who enjoy sandbox games with a social, unpredictable side will find the most to work with. The content rating on the listing is 10+. Encounters shift between comedy, chaos and tension depending on who is standing outside the bars.
Each visitor can be met in one of three ways: charm, ignore or resist. Those choices decide how the encounter goes, and the same visitor type can lead to different outcomes.
Visitors are listed as cute, friendly or aggressive, and some are gentle and generous while others are noisy or mocking. Gifts from visitors become objects you can use inside the cage.
