I Am Taxi Driver

A taxi game built around the back seat

I Am Taxi Driver is a role-playing game on Google Play, rated Teen. You run a cab, but the car drives itself, so the road is not where most of the game happens. The focus is on the passengers you pick up and what they do once they are inside.

It suits players who want a light game built around passenger interaction rather than driving.

Talking to and handling passengers

During a ride you can chat with a passenger, tease them, poke them, or try to calm them down. Each of these is a different way of handling the person in the back seat. If you would rather not get involved, the listing also lets you simply watch how the ride plays out.

Trips as separate missions

The developer treats each trip as its own self-contained mission. You pick up a passenger, the autopilot takes over the driving, and the ride becomes a scenario you play through on your own terms. Because each trip stands alone, you can move from one passenger to the next without carrying over a larger storyline.

Every trip is set up to reward you in two ways: ratings and cash. The listing describes both as things you are trying to earn across your rides.

What you control and what the autopilot handles

The autopilot handles the driving, so your part is picking up passengers and deciding how to deal with them. The game puts its weight on conversation and social choices in the cab, not on steering or traffic.

The listing states the game is rated Teen on Google Play and is in the Role Playing category.
