Receive audio-visual calls from the visitor panel on your smartphone and tablet
Senior reviews editor
IPGUARD is a companion app for the visitor panel installed at the entrance of a building. When someone uses the panel, the call can be routed to your smartphone or tablet, so you can see and speak to the visitor while you are away.
The listing presents it as a way to handle building calls from wherever you are, rather than standing next to the panel. It is aimed at residents whose building has one of the supported panels.
Calls from the panel reach the app over 4G or 3G mobile data as well as over WiFi. The listing says this is what lets you take them away from home.
The build we hold is IPGUARD 3.4.8 (APKS split bundle) for Android 7.0 and up.

Each call is audio-visual, so you see the visitor on screen and talk to them through the phone or tablet.
From the app you can open the door to the visitor without going to the entrance. This works from a phone or a tablet.
The app keeps a log of every call, both answered and missed. Each entry includes a picture of the visitor, so you can see who rang even if you did not pick up.
The listing states that the app is only for Noralsy 4G products and the IPGUARD visitor panel range. It is not described as working with other intercom or door systems.
If your building has one of these panels, the app is built to receive its calls and control its door. Residents of buildings with other hardware are not the intended users.
