What Kids Computer: Play and Learn is for
Kids Computer: Play and Learn is a collection of early learning games for toddlers and preschoolers. The store rates it Everyone, and the developer says it was made with parents in mind.
The activities cover the alphabet, numbers and counting, tracing, sorting, puzzles, coloring and animal sounds. The developer also describes some longer adventures, such as feeding animals and exploring the sea, which are built around the same early skills.
Letters, numbers and tracing practice
The alphabet and number games cover letters, digits and counting. These are the basic early literacy and numeracy skills the listing points to first.
The tracing activities give a child practice following letter and number shapes. The developer links tracing to fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
Sorting, shapes and puzzles for problem-solving
The sorting games ask a child to group items, and the puzzles ask them to fit pieces together. The developer says these build problem-solving ability.
Shape learning is listed as its own activity, so it is covered alongside sorting and puzzles rather than as a separate course.
Coloring, color recognition and animal sounds
The coloring activities are meant for creativity as well as color recognition. A child names and works with colors while they paint.
The animal sounds section lets a young child hear and match common animals. It sits alongside the coloring games in the list of activities.
Feeding animals and sea exploration
The feeding animals activity and the sea exploration adventure are the story-style parts of the app. They give the counting, sorting and color games a setting.
The developer presents these adventures as the most extended play in the app, so they suit a child who wants a longer session than a single quick game.
