What Krisp is for

Krisp is an AI note taker for meetings. It works on conversations held in a room and on calls held online, and it turns each one into a searchable transcript with notes attached. The developer positions it for people who run recurring customer, sales or project meetings and need a written record afterward.

The output is a transcript, a summary, a list of decisions and a list of action items. Those can be sorted with tags and sent on to a CRM, which the listing names as HubSpot or Salesforce.

Recording in-person and online meetings

For a meeting in the room, the app records directly from the phone. For calls, it captures conversations on Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams and other platforms the listing does not name.

Existing audio files and voice notes can be uploaded instead of recorded live. Each upload is transcribed and summarized in the same way as a live recording, which makes the app usable for notes made on another device or in another app.

Transcripts, summaries and action items

Each recording produces a full transcript and a shorter AI summary. The summary is built around the decisions made and the action items that came out of the meeting.

Because action items are pulled out as their own list, a person can check who owes what without rereading the transcript.

Searching past meetings with AI Chat

AI Chat works across the whole meeting history rather than a single recording. The listing gives examples such as finding decisions, customer feedback, objections, discussion points and follow-ups from earlier meetings.

A question returns an answer directly, so the user does not need to scroll through entire transcripts to locate a point made weeks earlier.

Templates, tags and CRM follow-ups

Each recap can use one of the ready-made meeting-notes templates or a template the user builds. Tags group meetings by customer, project, team, meeting type or workflow, so related conversations can be found together.

Follow-ups can be sent to HubSpot or Salesforce, which lets the notes from a call move into the CRM record for that customer or deal.
