Lianhe Zaobao is the leading Chinese news & infotainment provider in Singapore.
By Irfan Rosli

Lianhe Zaobao is the Chinese-language newspaper and website of SPH Media, and this app carries that journalism to a phone. The developer calls it the flagship Chinese-language media of the group, aimed at readers in Singapore and elsewhere.
Everything in the app is in Chinese. It suits people who want news about Singapore, the wider region and global affairs in that language, and who would rather read or watch it than follow English-language sources.
The build we hold is Lianhe Zaobao: News in Chinese 4.39.0.PO(ZB)REL (APKS split bundle) for Android 11 and up.

The app's multimedia content comes in several forms: short clips, long-form videos, podcasts, livestreams and interactive quizzes. Shorts and longer videos are both listed, so a reader can pick a quick item or a full segment on the same topic.
Podcasts and livestreams add audio and live viewing to the text reporting. The quizzes are interactive, so they are a different kind of content from the articles and videos around them.
The app sends real-time news alerts as events happen. The developer says these cover major happenings and hot topics in Singapore and around the world.
Live updates run alongside the alerts for stories that are still developing. Both features are aimed at keeping a reader informed without checking the app constantly.
Coverage is listed across politics, business, sports, culture, lifestyle and entertainment. Geographically, it spans Singapore, Southeast Asia, East Asia and global affairs.
Beyond straight reporting, the app carries analyses and expert commentaries meant to help readers follow complicated issues. The developer describes the reporting as in-depth and balanced, though those are its own words.
You can choose which page opens first as your homepage. Articles can be bookmarked for later, so saved stories are easy to return to.
Font size can be adjusted for easier reading. These settings control how the news looks on your own phone and do not change what the reporting contains.
