Mesário

Who the Mesário app is built for

Mesário is the training and reference app from Brazil's Electoral Justice for the people who staff polling stations, known as mesários. It serves two jobs: preparing the members of a polling board (mesa receptora de votos) before the election, and giving quick access to information during the working day.

According to the listing, access is limited to people appointed to work the election.

Training before the election: paths, quiz and certificate

Training is organized as learning paths that a poll worker works through ahead of voting day. A quiz checks what has been retained, and a separate area holds supplementary materials for further reading.

When training is complete, the app issues a certificate of participation.

On election day: checklist and working information

A checklist for the day of the election lists the tasks a polling board has to get through. The listing also presents the app as a quick reference during the shift, not only as a study tool.

Issuing the Declaração de Trabalhos Eleitorais

The app can issue the Declaração de Trabalhos Eleitorais (DTE), a declaration of electoral work for poll workers. It sits alongside the training and certificate features in the same app.
