Messages: Chat & Message App

A texting app for SMS and MMS with chat tools

Messages handles standard SMS and MMS alongside a chat-style conversation view with emojis, stickers, GIFs and reactions. The listing says it supports more than 70 languages.

It suits people who send a lot of texts and want incoming messages grouped by type.

Sorting incoming texts into groups

The app sorts incoming SMS automatically into four groups: Personal, Transaction, Offers and OTPs. Bank alerts and one-time codes are kept apart from personal conversations.

Scheduling texts and sending without internet

You can write an SMS or MMS and set it to send at a specific date and time. The listing also says messages can be sent without an internet connection.

Sending media, voice notes and reactions

Conversations support emojis, stickers and GIFs, and you can react to messages. Voice messages let you record audio instead of typing.

Images, videos, PDFs and other files can be sent directly in a conversation.

Backing up chats and restoring them

The listing says chats and messages can be backed up and restored at any time. That covers moving your conversation history to a new setup, or recovering it after a reset.
