Start with 5 GB of free storage, or upgrade to Microsoft 365 Personal or Family for 1 TB per user.

OneDrive is Microsoft's cloud storage app for Android. It keeps files and photos in an online store that you reach from your phone, and it syncs them with the same account on other devices. The listing gives 5 GB of free storage. A Microsoft 365 Personal or Family subscription raises that to 1 TB per person, with a Family plan covering up to six people.
The app suits anyone whose photos, documents and Office files live on more than one device. It is also built around sharing, so people who send files and albums to family or colleagues will use the sharing and collaboration tools most.
The build we hold is Microsoft OneDrive 7.64.2 (APK) for Android 8.0 and up.

Camera Upload copies new photos and videos from the phone to OneDrive without manual action. Once backed up, the pictures can be viewed and shared from other devices that use the same account.
The photo locker stores these pictures in encrypted storage and tags them automatically. Search can find photos by what they show, for example beach or snow, so you do not need to browse by date.
You can share files, photos, videos and albums with other people. Shared-file notifications tell you when someone edits a document. Sharing links can be protected with a password or set to expire, and the premium sharing link options are part of a Microsoft 365 subscription.
Selected files and folders can be kept on the phone for use without a connection. Files are encrypted both at rest and in transit. Version history restores earlier versions of a file, and Personal Vault adds identity-verified protection for its contents. The listing also includes ransomware detection and recovery, which it ties to a subscription, along with File Restore for up to 30 days.
Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote files stored in OneDrive can be edited in the Microsoft Office apps, with several people working in real time. The listing also says you can back up, view and save Office documents from the app.
Scanning works from the OneDrive mobile app. You can scan a paper document, sign it, mark it up and send it, and keep the scans in a secure folder.
Search covers photos by what appears in them and documents by file name or by text inside them. This makes it possible to find a scanned contract or a holiday photo without remembering where it was saved.
The listing describes Copilot features that summarise documents and pull out key details, suggest how to organise folders, and recommend ways to share and collaborate. These are marked with an asterisk, the same one used for the Microsoft 365 subscription.
