MobiDrive Cloud Storage & Sync

What MobiDrive is for

MobiDrive is an online drive that keeps copies of your files and holds them in step across your devices. The developer presents it around three jobs: backing up files, syncing them between devices, and getting to them from anywhere.

It suits people who want free cloud space to start with and expect to store a lot of photos and video, since the free allowance can be raised to 2TB.

Syncing files and folders to the cloud

You can sync or back up any file, and whole folders can be synced to the drive. The developer describes transfers as fast and secure, whatever the file format, device or platform involved.

Creating an account unlocks the free 20GB. If that runs short, the drive can be upgraded to up to 2TB, which the listing presents as room for syncing and backing up larger photo and video collections.

Backing up photos and videos automatically

Photos and videos can be backed up to the drive automatically, so new media from the device is copied without manual uploads. This is the feature the listing ties most directly to photo and video storage.

Using the same drive on several devices

The listing says the drive works across a mobile device, a Windows PC and a web browser. You can sync the drive and create backups from any of them, so the same files are available in each place.

Because the copies live on the drive rather than on one phone or computer, a device can be replaced or lost without the files going with it.
