What the Orange TV app on Android TV is for

Orange TV para Android TV is the Orange Spain television service on a TV running Android TV. It covers live channels across film, series, sports, documentaries and lifestyle, plus an on-demand library. The listing presents it as a way to watch Orange TV content from the living room.

Because the service is built around a subscription, the app suits people who already have Orange TV. Non-customers can still open it to look around before signing up.

Watching live channels and the programme guide

The app gives access to a wide channel line-up organised by genre. The listing names film, series, sports, documentaries and lifestyle as the main groups.

A programme guide shows what is on each channel. The listing says that people who are not customers can use the guide and channel menu too, so they can see what the service carries.

Catch-up and resuming programmes on your TV

Catch-up lets you watch a programme up to seven days after it was broadcast. The listing says this covers the programmes you might have missed.

If a programme has already started, you can go back to its beginning from the TV. This is useful for joining a show or film partway through.

On-demand films, series and premieres

Beyond the live channels, the app offers thousands of on-demand titles. The listing describes these as films, series and other content you can pick and watch at any time.

New film premieres come through Videoclub by Rakuten, and the listing says new releases arrive every week. The listing does not say how premieres are priced, so the cost depends on what Orange TV charges for that service.

Browsing the catalogue before subscribing

Non-customers can browse the menus and content sections without a subscription. The listing says they can also watch trailers in the app.

Full access to channels, catch-up and on-demand content is tied to an Orange TV account. A person who wants to watch programmes must be an Orange TV customer.
