Pakistan Gold Rate - Live shows current gold and silver prices for Pakistan in one place. The developer names jewellers, sarafa bazaar traders, investors and ordinary people who check gold prices every day as its intended users.
Prices are given per tola and per 10 grams, so a reader can see the rate in the unit that local buyers and sellers use.
The app gives 24K, 22K and 21K gold a separate rate each, so the three grades can be read side by side. Each one is shown per tola and per 10 grams.
Keeping the karat grades apart matters for anyone pricing jewellery, since the rate for each grade is a different figure.
Silver has its own rate, also shown per tola and per 10 grams. The developer lists a USD to PKR overview on the same screen, so the dollar figure sits next to the metal prices.
For gold, the app shows the day's high and low. This lets a reader see how far the price has moved within the day, not just where it sits now.
Where the data is available, the app shows local market buy and sell rates from the sarafa bazaar. The developer says it aims to show the rates that are in use in the local market, so the figure reflects what a trader would quote.
The listing describes the app as light and simple, and says it runs on slow internet connections.
