Pokémon Shuffle Mobile

A Pokémon puzzle game built on matching

Pokémon Shuffle Mobile is a puzzle game from The Pokémon Company, rated Everyone. Its core action is lining up three or more Pokémon on the board, either vertically or horizontally, and those matches are what you use to battle wild Pokémon.

The developer says it can be played casually, though battling, collecting and leveling up Pokémon can keep players occupied for hours.

Choosing moves and triggering combos

Each move is made by selecting a Pokémon and then the spot in the puzzle area where it should go. According to the developer, this sets off combos automatically, so the player picks the move and the game handles the rest of the sequence.

The developer describes the gameplay as simple to pick up, with strategic depth for players who want it.

Battling wild Pokémon through stages

The matches you make are played out as battles against wild Pokémon, spread across a set of stages. The developer says the initial release includes a set of Pokémon and stages, with more of both planned for later.

Because the stage list is the main source of new content, the game's length depends on how far through these stages a player goes.

Collecting, leveling and difficulty

Pokémon can be collected and leveled up over time, which the developer presents as the longer-term side of play. Challenge levels vary in difficulty, and the developer says they are meant to suit both puzzle beginners and experts.
