What kind of game this is
In Pond Pals you help Aaron, a frog the listing describes as anxious, set up a glamping getaway beside a pond. The game sits among decorating games, campground builders and idle sims, and the developer names those genres as the audience it has in mind.
Most of the play is about shaping a space and filling it with visitors. The story elements the listing mentions are light, and they sit alongside the building rather than driving it.
Decorating campsites and the grounds
Each campsite can be dressed with lanterns, tents, furniture, plants and small accessories. The listing says every part of the retreat can be customized, so the decor is not limited to individual tents.
Decorations are grouped into themes. The listed themes are forests, camping and cottagecore, and some of these have to be unlocked before you can place them.
Expanding the campground and its facilities
The campground starts small and grows. You add new areas, upgrade what is already there and place attractions to give campers more to do.
Upgrading facilities is listed as the way to draw more campers to the pond. Expansion and upgrades appear in the listing as the two main ways the grounds get bigger and busier.
Activity areas and frog visitors
You build dedicated spaces for fishing, cooking, lounging and exploring. Each one gives visiting frogs a different reason to stay on the grounds.
The listing also describes a set of quirky frog visitors who arrive as the campground develops. Their role is presented as part of the charming stories that run through the game.
