What PowerUp Money is for
PowerUp Money is a mutual fund app for people in India who already invest, or want to, and want a second view on the funds they hold. The operating company, Powerup Money Wealth Management Pvt Ltd, is listed as a SEBI registered investment adviser under RIA no. INA000019798.
The core of the app is a rating system. Each equity and hybrid mutual fund in your portfolio is placed into one of four levels, and the app shows where each one sits. The app is aimed at investors who hold these fund types and need a regular check on whether each fund is still performing against its category.
Reviewing the funds in your portfolio
The portfolio review is free and covers equity and hybrid mutual funds. Each fund gets one of four labels: in-form for funds outperforming their category, on-track for funds performing well in it, off-track for funds losing momentum, and out-of-form for funds underperforming consistently.
The listing attaches a suggested action to each label. In-form and on-track funds are marked as ones to keep investing in, off-track funds as ones to pause new investment in, and out-of-form funds as ones to exit. A reader can use the labels as a quick sort of their holdings without opening each fund's details.
Checking a fund's rating before you invest
Any mutual fund can be looked up for its rating, not only the ones already in your portfolio. The listing says this makes choosing a new fund simpler, since you can see its label before putting money in.
The lookup uses the same four levels as the portfolio review, so a fund you are considering and a fund you already hold can be compared on the same scale.
Monthly review and rating change alerts
Your portfolio is reviewed once a month. If the rating of any fund in it has changed since the last review, the app notifies you. The listing does not say how far back the comparison goes or how the notification is delivered.
This means you do not need to check each fund yourself every month. You are told when a fund moves between levels, such as when an on-track fund drops to off-track.
PowerUp Elite membership
PowerUp Elite is a paid membership, separate from the free portfolio review and fund lookup. It unlocks three additional features, which the listing describes as key features but does not name.
The developer describes Elite as built for serious investors who want end-to-end guidance on their portfolio. Membership is the only route to those three features as the listing presents them.
