Senior reviews editor
- Calls and mobile data that work without a balance
- Activated by a valid coupon tied to your phone number
- Mobile data must stay on, so Wi-Fi has to be switched off
- Sponsored services, usually one service type per coupon
- Communication kept available at all times
What Publifon is and who it suits
Publifon is an Android app for using sponsored phone services on a mobile line. The developer describes its purpose as giving calls and mobile data without a credit balance. It is aimed at people who already hold a valid coupon, since the app does nothing without one.
A coupon normally covers a single type of service, so the services you get depend on what the coupon was issued for.
Activating a coupon and linking it to your number
Setup is a short sequence. You install the app, turn off Wi-Fi, and leave mobile data on, with airplane mode never enabled. Then you enter the coupon and link it to your phone number.
