QR 碼掃描器和條碼掃描器，掃描 QR 碼

A QR and barcode reader, plus a generator

QR 碼掃描器和條碼掃描器，掃描 QR 碼 is an Android app in the Tools category that reads QR codes and barcodes with the phone camera. It shows what the code contains and offers a few options for what to do next. It also works in the other direction, creating QR codes. The listing describes it as free.

The listing names a wide set of code contents it handles: web addresses, plain text, product codes, Wi-Fi logins, locations, email addresses, contact cards, book codes and calendar events. Most of the description covers everyday uses like scanning an item in a shop, joining a Wi-Fi network from a printed code, or opening a link on a poster.

The listing also describes a set of Hong Kong queue and food-ordering uses, covered in the last section below.

Reading codes through the camera

Point the camera at a code and the app detects it without a separate capture step. The listing mentions automatic focus and a torch for codes in poor light. Detection picks up both QR codes and barcodes, so you do not need to switch modes.

Batch scanning lets you read several codes in one go, which the listing gives as a feature. Scans can also come from images already on the phone, so a code saved from a message or a screenshot can be read without taking a new photo. Scan history is saved, so earlier results can be looked up again.

The listing says scanning works without a network connection. Dark mode is also offered for the interface.

Product prices and coupon codes

Scanning a product barcode in a shop lets you check where the product comes from and view its details. The listing also says you can compare prices online from the same scan.

Discount promotions and coupon codes can be scanned in the same way. For a shopper, that means a printed or on-screen code can be read directly rather than typed in by hand.

Making QR codes for URLs and Wi-Fi

The generator builds QR codes for web addresses, Wi-Fi details, phone numbers, contact information and plain text. A Wi-Fi code lets a guest join a network by scanning the code instead of reading out a password.

The generator sits alongside the scanner in the same app, so a code you make can be checked with the scanning side straight away.

Queue and takeaway codes in Hong Kong

The listing describes using the app to collect a queue number from a machine at district testing centres and mobile sampling stations. Scanning the number lets you check queue and call status and estimate when to attend, so you can avoid waiting on site for a long time.

For restaurants, the listing describes scanning a code to check the queue and to take a place in the takeaway line. The listing says you can do this at more than one restaurant at the same time. It also describes ordering takeaway ahead through the app, paying in the app, and scanning electronic coupons at the point of purchase.
