What RikiP$ is used for in Rimouski

RikiP$ is the City of Rimouski's parking payment app, published by Integr@ Parking Solutions LLC. It is meant for paying for street parking in Rimouski from a phone instead of at the curb.

The listing describes it as a way to handle parking payments and tickets from wherever you are, so you do not need to be at the parking space to settle a charge.

Paying parking fees and tickets by credit card

You can pay parking fees and parking tickets through the app. Payment is by credit card, so you do not need to carry coins or bills for the meter.

The app is the payment channel. The listing does not describe any other way to settle a charge through it.

Payment reminders by text or email

RikiP$ can notify you when a parking payment is due. The listing says these alerts can be sent by text or email.

Reminders are the main way the app keeps you from missing a payment after you have parked.

Account, transaction history and parking rules

You manage a personal account in the app and can look up your transaction history whenever you need it. Each payment you make stays on that record.

The app also lets you check the pricing and regulations that apply to parking spaces, so you can see the rules before you pay.

Optional smart city services

The developer says the city may offer further features under its smart city program. You choose whether to turn each one on, and none are required to use parking payments.

The listing does not name these services, so the app's current options are limited to what it describes for parking.
