Simple Alarm Clock

What Simple Alarm Clock is for

Simple Alarm Clock is an Android alarm app for setting and managing alarms with as little tapping as possible. The developer positions it for waking up in the morning and for reminders during the day, so it covers both sleep and task timing.

It is aimed at people who find standard alarm dials slow to use and want a direct way to enter a time. The features below are the parts the listing describes.

Setting alarms by typing the time

Instead of scrolling through hour and minute lists or pressing arrows, you type the time on a numeric keyboard. The listing presents this as the main way to create an alarm in seconds.

Sorting alarms and adding daytime reminders

Alarms are listed in the order they will sound next, so the closest one is always at the top. The listing says this is a difference from other Android alarm clocks.

The same alarms can serve as reminders for tasks during the day, not only as wake-up calls.

Waking gently with a fade-in volume

A volume fade-in is available as an option. The sound starts quietly and rises gradually, which the developer says avoids being startled awake by a sudden loud sound during deep sleep. The listing also describes the alarm as extremely loud when it does go off at full volume.

Making the alarm harder to switch off by accident

A three-button deactivation method is an optional setting. You must press all three buttons to silence the alarm, which the developer says prevents turning it off by mistake and oversleeping.

The listing states the layout is meant to require a fully awake state to complete, so it suits people who tend to hit snooze or dismiss in their sleep.
