What Sketch Pro is for

Sketch Pro is a drawing and painting app from 4Axis Technologies. The listing aims it at digital illustrators, graphic designers, and comic, anime and manga artists, and the feature set reflects that: brushes and layers for hand drawing, plus AI tools for generating and reworking images.

Most of the work happens on a canvas where you draw by hand. The AI tools sit alongside that, for starting images from a prompt, changing an existing picture or filling in colour. The developer presents them as a way to speed up a professional artist's workflow.

Generating and editing images with AI

Text to Image creates artwork from a written prompt, and Sketch to Image turns a hand-drawn sketch into a finished picture, guided by a prompt. Magic Edit changes colours, textures and objects in an existing image, also by prompt. Expand artwork extends a canvas to custom dimensions and fills the new area with content that matches the original.

Auto-colouring adds colour to a sketch automatically, and it also takes colour hints written as prompts. Object Remove and Pro BG Remove delete unwanted objects or backgrounds. The line art tool generates line work from any image, or extracts it, so you can reuse it in your own drawings.

Brushes, colour and shape libraries

The brush set covers sketching, painting, doodling and illustration, and the brushes can be customised. You can keep a list of favourite brushes for quick access. The roller brush includes more than 100 patterns, which the listing labels as free.

The colour wheel offers adjustable values and shades, and a palette tool builds themed palettes. You can import colours from photos and images. The shapes library holds more than 15 categories of shapes, signs and symbols, and any shape can be added to a favourites list.

Layers, symmetry and drawing aids

Each drawing and painting saves automatically, and you can store them in organised project folders. Cloud syncing lets you reach your drawings from other places. You can delete a project at any time.

Time lapse playback replays how a drawing was built up stroke by stroke. Dark mode is also listed among the interface options.
