SecureGet a free student card and unlock thousands of student benefits across Finland!
Senior reviews editor
Slice.fi is a digital student card for students in Finland, paired with a student benefit service that gathers discounts from businesses across many industries. The listing describes the card as official and domestic. Its main use is saving money on everyday costs while studying, with public transport discounts among the first listed benefits.
The listing says it covers students from secondary school through university. It is used at hundreds of institutions and nearly 200 locations across Finland, so a student at a participating school can use it without needing a separate card for each benefit.
Discounts come from businesses nationwide, and the listing says they cover a range of industries. Public transport discounts are one of the main benefits. The listing presents the card and its benefits as free to receive.
Slice issues several types of student card. Which discounts you get depends on what you study, where you study, which institution you attend and which student organization you belong to. Two students at different schools or in different cities may therefore see different local and national offers under the same app.
The app is set up separately for each educational institution. Beyond discounts, the listing names services, student benefits and job postings that vary by school, so the content you see depends on where you study.
Job postings are one of the non-discount features the listing mentions. They are aimed at students, though the listing does not say how postings are sorted or filtered.
To log in, you need credentials that your institution sends by email in advance. The listing says you can retrieve them at slice.fi/app. Without those credentials the app cannot be used beyond its public pages.
If your institution is not already listed, the listing says you can make an inquiry, though the details of that process are not given in the material.
The build we hold is Slice.fi 1.1.8 (APK) for Android 5.0 and up.
