Snapseed is a complete and professional photo editor developed by Google.
By Trang Nguyen
Editor, media and streaming
Snapseed is a photo editor made by Google for Android. It covers the full range of adjustments most people reach for, from exposure and colour to cropping and retouching, and it adds film-style looks and masking on top.
The listing says it has more than 30 tools and filters and carries no subscriptions, purchases, ads or watermarks. It suits anyone who edits their own photos and wants a fuller set of controls than a basic filter app gives, including people who shoot RAW files.
The build we hold is Snapseed 4.1.12.1005261101 (APKS split bundle) for Android 12L and up.

The Film tool applies simulations of historic film stocks, which the listing describes as updated and realistic. Halation adds a highlight glow meant to copy older analog lenses, and Bloom spreads a soft diffusion over light sources. Grain, Vignette and Black & White round out the classic-print looks.
Lens Blur adds background softening, and Glamour Glow adds a fine glow aimed at fashion and portrait shots. Double Exposure blends two photos using blend modes the developer compares to film and digital processing.
One-Touch Masking selects a subject or the background with a single tap, so an edit can be applied to just that area. Selective and Brush do similar work by hand, changing brightness, contrast, saturation or warmth in chosen spots and leaving the rest of the frame alone.
Tonal Contrast lifts detail in the shadows, midtones or highlights separately. Healing removes unwanted objects or people from a picture, and Portrait offers tools for lighting, poses and facial features. Details brings out surface texture.
Adjust corrects exposure and colour either automatically or by hand. White Balance makes colours look more natural, Curves gives control over brightness levels, and Color HSL changes hue, saturation and luminance for individual colours. Dehaze reduces haze, fog or glare.
Crop and rotate covers standard sizes, 90 degree turns and straightening a tilted horizon. Perspective corrects skewed lines in buildings and horizons, and Expand enlarges the canvas. RAW Develop opens and adjusts some RAW file types.
Batch Edit applies a saved look and a set of edits to a whole group of photos at once. Snapseed Camera captures pictures with a chosen film look or custom style already applied, and its real-time effects can be edited or reset afterwards.
Every change can be undone, and the original photo can be restored at any point, since edits are non-destructive. The listing says the app opens and edits both JPG and RAW files.
