What Solar Walk 2 Ads+ is for
Solar Walk 2 Ads+ is a 3D model of the Solar System for people who want to look at the planets and spacecraft without going to a planetarium. The developer presents it as a replacement for printed space atlases, and it is aimed at children and adults who are interested in astronomy.
The main view is a 3D scene of the Sun, planets, stars, moons, satellites, asteroids, comets and dwarf planets. The listing says every body is drawn at its correct position for the current time, and it gives general facts and information on inner structure for each one.
Moving through the 3D Solar System
You can look at any planet or satellite from a chosen angle, and the listing says shadows and lighting are drawn in the scene. Planet and spacecraft textures are shown in detail. The listing describes the graphics as the app's main visual feature.
Premium Access is an in-app purchase. The listing says it unlocks space missions, satellites, celestial events, asteroids, dwarf planets and comets. Buying it does not remove the ads.
Spacecraft models and mission history
The app includes 3D models of spacecraft, satellites and interplanetary stations, with a history of space exploration and the missions themselves. For a mission, you can see where it started, follow its real trajectory and watch gravitational maneuvers.
Real photographs taken during missions are shown alongside the models. The listing presents this as the way to see how missions actually unfolded, not only how the hardware looks.
Checking eclipses and sky events by date
The astronomical calendar lists solar eclipses, lunar eclipses, moon phases and events such as satellite launches and the first Moon landing. You can follow the sky in real time, or pick any date and time and see the scene at that moment.
You can also view the Solar System as it looked in different time periods. This lets you compare the positions of bodies across the calendar, not only the present sky.
Panoramic pictures and space news
You can select any object in the scene, take a panoramic picture of it and share the picture on Facebook. The listing presents this as a way to share views of the Solar System with other people.
The What's new section posts astronomy news and notable celestial events. The listing says it is meant to keep you informed of current space events.
