This is a remote for sonoro home audio hardware, not a music player in its own right. It works with the MAESTRO Quantum Signature, MAESTRO Quantum, sonoro AMPLIFIER, sonoro STREAMER, MEISTERSTÜCK 3, MEISTERSTÜCK (Gen. 2), AVATON and ATRON.
The developer says other sonoro products are not covered, and points buyers to the user manual for each model to check which app fits. Anyone with an unlisted model should check that first.
Setup starts on the music system itself, using its setup assistant. The phone and the system must be on the same network before the app can find and control it.
Once connected, the app is the control surface for that system. Nothing in the listing describes a separate pairing or account step beyond this.
From the phone you can switch the system on and off, adjust volume, start and pause playback, and move between tracks. These are the everyday controls, so the phone can stand in for the hardware remote.
The app also reaches the system's digital and analog inputs, along with its settings. This means source changes and configuration can be made from the same screen as playback.
Amazon Music, TIDAL, Qobuz and Deezer can be controlled directly from the app. The listing describes control of these services, so the app acts as their remote on a sonoro system.
Multiroom playback runs over the local network (LAN). Compatible sonoro systems in different rooms can be grouped and controlled together, so one set of controls covers several rooms.
Local favorites stored on one sonoro system can be transferred to other sonoro systems. This lets a playlist or saved selection set up in one room appear in another without rebuilding it by hand.
