The Home Depot México

A Home Depot shopping app for Mexico

The Home Depot México app is the store's mobile shopping tool for customers in Mexico. It covers finding, buying and following products for home and building work. People planning a renovation, a repair or a DIY job are the clearest fit, since most of its features sit between choosing materials and getting them delivered.

Its features cover searching, ordering, planning and checkout, so a single project can be handled from one screen.

Finding products by barcode or voice

The barcode scanner reads product codes and adds the item to your cart on the spot, which suits buying something you already have in front of you. Voice search takes spoken requests, and the listing gives examples such as "Quiero pisos cerámicos para exterior" (outdoor ceramic floor tiles), "Necesito focos ahorradores" (energy-saving bulbs) and "Busco cajas para herramientas" (tool boxes).

Both methods work from the same screen, so you can switch between typing, speaking and scanning as the search calls for.

Tracking orders and deliveries

The app sends notifications when the status of an order changes. It also tracks the delivery of your products, showing where they are in transit. This matters most for larger purchases that arrive on a schedule you need to plan around.

Planning a project with augmented reality and calculators

Augmented reality tools and interactive spaces show how different products would look in your own room or area. This helps when choosing tile, lighting or fixtures before buying them.

The calculators estimate how much flooring, adhesive, paint and similar materials a job needs. The developer presents them as a way to make sure you do not come up short on materials or budget.

Saving favorites and checkout details

Favorites lists let you group products you want to keep and return to them later. You can save payment and shipping information in your profile, which the listing says makes future purchases quicker to complete.
