What the app does and who it suits
Tile Shortcuts creates tiles in the Android quick settings panel, the grid you reach by pulling down the notification shade. Each tile opens something you choose: an app, a specific action inside an app, a web address, or a group of other shortcuts.
It suits people who open the same few apps or pages many times a day and would rather not search the app drawer each time. The listing says it is aimed at power users for the more advanced intent options.
Launching apps, in-app actions and websites
The basic tile type launches any installed app. The app shortcut type goes a step further and triggers a particular action inside an app, such as starting a new message, opening navigation, or creating a note. The listing gives those three examples.
A website tile opens any URL in one tap, and the listing says it pulls in the site's own icon so the tile is recognizable. Intent and activity tiles expose lower-level Android shortcuts for users who know what they want to call.
Grouping several shortcuts into folders
A shortcut folder places several shortcuts behind a single quick settings tile. This keeps the panel short when you have many destinations and only want one slot taken up by a group of related ones.
The folder is built from the same tile types, so an app, a site and an in-app action can sit together in one group.
Customizing tile icons and labels
Each tile can show the real icon of the app it opens, which the listing presents as the main way to tell tiles apart at a glance. You can also pick an icon from any installed icon pack, or use any image stored on the device.
Every tile takes a label of your own wording, so a tile can read something like a short task name instead of the app's default title.
Adding a tile to quick settings and pairing it with other panel apps
After you create a tile in Tile Shortcuts, the app shows a number beneath it. You then open the quick settings edit mode in the notification shade and drag the tile with the matching number into the active area. Once placed, the tile runs its shortcut with a single tap.
The listing says tiles made here work with Bottom Quick Settings and MIUI-ify, two other panel customization tools, so you can build a panel that combines shortcuts from both.
