The app listing, the version table and the download step are laid out by this site’s stylesheet. With stylesheets switched off, or blocked before they arrive, none of that layout exists, so the page is not shown.

Transparent Clock and Weather: widgets, radar and alerts

By Irfan Rosli

News editor

Clock and weather widgets that sit on your wallpaper
72-hour hourly and 10-day daily forecasts
Live radar for rain, snow and storms
Alerts for storms, heavy rain, high wind and extreme temperatures
Activity forecast showing the best hours to run, hike, fish or travel
Sunrise, sunset and air quality (AQI) readings

What the app is for

This is a free weather app built around the home screen. Its main pieces are clock and weather widgets, which show the time, date, current conditions and forecast without opening the app.

The listing presents it as suited to people who want local weather at a glance and some planning help on top. The developer says the app is light on resources and battery use, and that location data is used only to show weather for where you are.

Home screen clock and weather widgets

The app offers more than 15 widgets. Each one is transparent so it blends into your wallpaper rather than sitting on a solid panel.

You pick the layout and size of each widget and choose which details it shows, so a small widget can carry just the temperature while a larger one adds the forecast.

Hourly and 10-day forecasts with current conditions

The forecast covers 72 hours hour by hour and up to 10 days ahead. Each view can include feels-like temperature, humidity, UV index, pressure, wind and visibility.

The listing adds pressure and driving conditions cards, which group some of these readings for quick checking before a trip.

Live radar and severe weather alerts

The interactive radar shows rain, snow and storms and can be played to see how they move across your area.

Alerts can be turned on for storms, heavy rain, high wind and extreme temperatures near your location, so you hear about a warning without checking the app first.
