Cast photo/video/IPTV channel to TV enabled Chromecast;Mirror screen via AirPlay
By Trang Nguyen
Editor, media and streaming
TV Cast for Chromecast moves content from a phone or tablet onto a television. It is aimed at people who want to watch what is on their phone, or something online, on a larger screen in the living room.
The listing names Chromecast, Chromecast Audio, and Android TV and Google TV devices with Chromecast built in as targets. It also covers smart TVs that support AirPlay. Beyond those, it lists wireless casting to LG, Samsung, Roku, Fire TV, Sony Bravia, Vizio, TCL, Hisense, Philips, Sharp Aquos, Panasonic Viera, Toshiba, JVC, RCA and Grundig sets.
The build we hold is TV Cast for Chromecast 2.4.4 (APKS split bundle) for Android 7.0 and up.

Local photos and videos stored on the phone can be sent to the TV. Music from the phone can be cast the same way, so it plays through the TV or a connected Chromecast Audio unit.
Online videos from a web page can also be cast to the TV. A separate option lets you send files from a folder on the phone or tablet to a PC, provided a receiver app is installed on that computer.
Screen mirroring copies everything on the phone's display onto the TV. The listing says this works over AirPlay for compatible smart TVs, which is useful for showing apps that do not offer their own cast button.
For viewing, the listing names TV shows, IPTV, live streams and games as things you can run on the big screen. IPTV channels and live streams are covered by the casting feature, not a separate service.
The app can act as the remote for the TV. It does this without a physical smart remote control, so the phone handles playback and navigation while the content plays on the screen.
The listing does not describe any account, subscription or paid unlock for these features, so the functions it lists are the ones shown above.
