Ride CTA, Metra & Pace: Manage your fares, buy Metra tickets, get arrivals.

Ventra is a fare and transit app for riders in Chicago who use CTA, Metra or Pace buses and trains. The developer, the Chicago Transit Authority, lists it as the place to manage and pay fares across those three systems.
The listing says it covers what the Ventra website does, and adds mobile ticketing for Metra trains. It is aimed at people who already hold a Ventra Card and ride these services regularly.
The build we hold is Ventra 2.2.16 (APKS split bundle) for Android 7.0 and up.

The app shows the balance and any available passes on the transit account tied to a Ventra Card. Loaded value and passes are added to that account, and the listing describes the loading as instant.
Autoload for transit value or passes can be switched on or off from the app. Turning it on means the card is topped up without a manual load each time.
Metra mobile tickets can be bought and used in the app to ride any Metra train. The listing does not describe a paper or card alternative for these tickets.
Transit value already loaded to the account can be spent on a Metra ticket, so a rider does not need a separate payment method for each purchase.
Real-time account notifications tell the rider when fare or tickets are running low, so a top-up or purchase can happen before boarding. The listing presents this as the main reason to keep an eye on these alerts.
For arrival and departure times, the app pulls live information from CTA, Metra and Pace in one place. A rider can pick a stop directly, use saved favorites, or look at service near their current location.
