Vita Mahjong Wood is a tile-matching puzzle based on classic mahjong. The developer describes it as a relaxing puzzle with some mental challenge, and says it is aimed particularly at older adults. It is free to play.

The game keeps the familiar mahjong idea of pairing identical tiles, but the tiles are large and carved from wood, and the board is designed to be read at a glance on a phone or a tablet.

Matching tiles on a wooden board

Each round starts with a full board of tiles. You clear it by removing every pair of matching images. To remove a pair, you tap or slide across two identical tiles, and both disappear.

Only tiles that are not covered or blocked by other tiles can be matched. Clearing the whole board finishes the game, which the listing calls a completed mahjong.
