voice recorder

A recorder for meetings, lectures and notes

Voice Recorder is an Android audio recorder aimed at meetings, lectures, speeches, personal notes and songs. The listing says there is no fixed recording length, so the practical limit is the free space on the phone's internal storage or on an SD card.

It does not record phone calls, which the listing states directly.

Recording controls and microphone sensitivity

A recording can be saved, paused, resumed or cancelled while it runs. The listing says recording carries on in the background, including when the screen is off, so a session can keep running while you use other apps.

A microphone setting adjusts how sensitive the mic is, so you can change how much quiet sound it picks up.

MP3 quality and where recordings are stored

Recordings are encoded as MP3. The encoder's sample rate can be set anywhere from 8 to 44 kHz, so you choose between smaller files and more detailed audio.

Files can be stored on internal storage or on an SD card, and the app displays how much space remains on the chosen one.

Finding, sorting and deleting saved recordings

Saved recordings appear in a list that can be searched and arranged. Each file has a detail view with its information, and files can be deleted from the list.

Trimming and sharing recordings

A recording can be cut to remove parts you do not need. Finished files can be sent by email, SMS, MMS, Facebook, WhatsApp, Dropbox and other apps on the phone.
